Sean hails from Upstate New York and since his early days has had an undeniable passion to create. He found inspiration anywhere he could whether it was a memorable skateboard graphic or the artwork on some of his favorite albums. Being a skateboarder himself from a young age Sean has over time found ways to combine his love for skating and his love for the arts. He is mostly self-taught but also attended Syracuse University for print making and while there divided his time between giving workshops in stencil making and exploring different outlets as an artist.
He has worked at multiple skateboard shops over the years across Upstate New York in Syracuse, Binghamton and Rochester. It was at these very shops and in the very streets that he skateboarded in where he truly felt inspired. He spent time designing apparel for multiple shops including Science, Krudco, East Coast Terminal and Recess as well as have a hand in designing custom decks for Movement, Gnartifact and Beware Beware. Sean made a big impact in the skateboard world when he was presented with the rare opportunity to create/design custom graphics for limited edition Grind King skateboard trucks along with a handful of well-respected artists from around the world. These trucks have been shown far and wide from Europe to Indonesia as well as Japan.
Although Sean’s work has been viewed on a global scale he is an artist at heart and is not afraid to feature a gallery show in a dirty, empty warehouse. He tries to do at least a couple of shows a year in between all of the madness to give himself a chance to show what he has been quietly working on. In a true testament to Sean’s work, he has had multiple people have original pieces permanently inked in their skin. Currently he is living in Ithaca, New York working on multiple ventures including a new skateboard company as well as working hand in hand with a pro animator that is using his artwork for a new upcoming animation project. Sean’s drive to create is second to none and his passion really shines through whether it be as simple as designing a logo for a t-shirt or as big as painting a custom mural spanning across an entire wall. Either way, Sean wears his “art” on his sleeve and it is refreshing to know that no matter how big or small the project, you can be sure that he will put his all into everything he does.
